Old Mogo Town Accommodation

Students will stay in our en-suited Bunkrooms, which overlooks our spacious Camp Kitchen area.

Each Bunkhouse has two separate rooms that are finished with limed pine walls and ceilings. Each bunkroom has its own en-suite and sleeps 8 (total capacity 64).

Each Bunkroom has its own lock and is only accessed from the outside with the correct key. Once students are inside they can lock the door with a push button.

Keys to each room are given to the supervising teachers to either allocate to responsible students or to keep themselves.

All the Bunkrooms overlook the Camp Kitchen area providing an eating and meeting space with wooden tables, benches, fridge, Gas BBQ, sink, cutlery, crockery, toasters and kettles.

Students need to bring their own linen (sleeping bag, pillow, towel and toiletries). Students are allocated to Bunkrooms depending on the male:female ratio and wherever possible are separated from sharing a communal verandah.

Food, drink and chewing gum is not to be consumed in the accommodation. All students are requested to wear suitable shoes at all times outside their Bunkroom door, Verandahs are timber and students run a risk of splinters.

Students must make sure that they bring with them suitable protection with insect repellant, sun block and a hat. They also need to bring Wet weather clothes and suitable enclosed footwear as uneven surfaces prevail at Old Mogo Town, with gravel paths, uneven surfaces, timber etc. Thongs are not suitable.

Students must be supervised by accompanying teachers at all times. Old Mogo Town has unfenced dams, native flora and fauna, uneven and rough surfaces, pet geese and ducks. There must be no running or climbing around Old Mogo Town, the pool and the accommodation, or the chasing and touching of onsite animals and birds. Old Mogo Town does have a large grassed paddock area for the playing of supervised games during freetime. There must be no collecting or throwing of stones from the gravel paths.

Teachers must bring with them their own First Aid Kit and a record of any student medical requirements. Please note that schools are responsible for the first aid attention of their students and the allocation of any necessary pharmaceuticals. The nearest pharmacy, doctors or hospitals are at Batemans Bay (10km drive) or Moruya (27km drive).

Teachers will twin share a Mogotel room in one of our Miners Cabins, this means 4 teachers will be accommodated in one Cabin. The coach driver will also be accommodated in a Mogotel room. The Cabin bedrooms are en-suited with their own televisions and linen. Cabins also have a living area with a Kitchenette. Our Cabins are Non Smoking.

Old Mogo Town also has its own pools and is out of bounds to all students, except under strict approval and supervision from the camp teachers. No more than 20 students are to be in the pool area at any time. Teachers must be accredited with the appropriate life saving certificates. Normal pool rules apply to food, drink, running, jumping and diving.
